Not really having that....it's just more people have them now. Someone applying for positions in their early to mid twenties will be better placed than the kid who left education at 16-18 with few qualifications. Obviously I'm not talking about people who have a 'trade' so to speak, but the point stands...

SSG was (probably) referring to Aldi's excellent graduate programme tbf, where you have to do a stint on the checkouts.

so do you condone them bullying poor Mark G off the internet, just after his mum's got him a brand new united tracksuit for Christmas?

Too many pointless courses these days to satisfy the need for people who "want the uni experience"

Media studies
American/Caribbean/African/Asian studies (why not just do history and specialise? )
Sociology
Gender studies ffs

Just a few off the top of my head. Generally taken by those who parade around in their Geek tops and thick rimmed glasses. The type who failed maths and science gcses and had to do something else to fill their time. Instead of going into a trade which is productive they see themselves as above that.

Depends on experience though.
I've a degree and various other qualifications but, people with less qualifications than me but with more experience, got the job

Regardless, Irah is getting a job at Sky

All of those degrees have real world applications. Irrelevant often anyway as most people I know have jobs which do not relate to their degree. However I suspect that the more specialised the bigger the chance their job relates to it.

There's nothing worse than gender studies students complaining about lack of women in STEM when they do gender studies

If you show up and can manage 40% you're getting a degree. The amount of relaxed marking that goes on to ensure that students pass is ridiculous.
