tfm and carrick are very different players. they could each play in the same position, but neither could play in the other's role.

blind can pass a bit, but he's no carrick.

herrera, tfm and blind might be ok as a midfield, though. if carrick actually died.

Tbf he probably won't need replacing. He's started tonight and against Northampton.

but with valencia and shaw at fullback and rashford and martial both being remarkably mobile... not to mention that herrera, pogba and tfm can all cross a decent ball, I think there is width. mostly, though, there's no way through.

Very raw and positionally he's all over the show but has the attributes to mould into a top player

He played at LB against Zorya and Feyenord...but I agree. He looked a real handful when he came on today. I still think Pogba is a bit of a way off being the complete player. Things aren't looking too bad.

Blind isn't fit to lace Carrick's boots tbh.

Fosu-Mensah looked £#%&!ing erratic in his brief cameo last night. Will be a while before he can be trusted in CM.

Need to get a proper replacement for Carrick tbh.
