Default best player to never have a proper song

the Becks documentary made me realise that we never had anything for him except the generic "there's only one..." chant which doesnt count..same for Bryan Robson..

criminal considering some of the utter dross who have had proper terrace bops.

can't remember us ever singing anything for schmeichel or Ferdinand either.

seems a relatively new concept so I'm obviously discounting older players. can any historians on here recall the first united player to have had their own personal song?

also, off the top of my head I can't think of any of the current squad who's name is regularly sung.

Last point - no shit.

Onana has lots of potential for chants but at the moment it’s getting the words to sync with the Benny Hill theme tune that’s tricky.

Thought for a long time that the only reason Martial is still here is that we have a decent chant for him.

We have the basis for a good thread here.

Stam’s song was ghastly.

Evra didn’t really have anything did he?

give my regard to billy, the first player to have his own song

No proper song for Becks. There was a Boyle attempt that never took off. The Schmeichel one was cringe (to the tune of the city one about being the best in all the land, in all the world) . Rio had one to the tune of Hi Ho (met el tel and said farewell) .
Lots of current players have regulat chants, especially Bruno, Cas, Garnacho, Martinez (and Scott in the last game)
