paul mariner started a chorley went on to play for england

any others achieved this gordon hill possibly ?

edit: i think he played somewhere before city (portsmouth?)

Wasn't Guy Whttingham was it?. Don't know if he played for City, the army just seems to ring a bell and he did play for Portsmouth, Villa as well I think.

Lee Bradbury is the army doofer, I believe.

Neither he nor Whittingham played for England.

Yeah sounds right poppy, didn't think Whittingham had ever played international football. He wasn't very good in the top division from what I can recall.

There's been a few who played for other countries.

Ian Nolan - Northwich Victoria and the North East of Ireland

Peter Sayer - Northwich Victoria and Wales
