Christ no

Buzzing for them. Not plucky underdogs but still deserving of the absolute about turn in fortunes.

Nothing but love for the owners, but vastly outspending the competition isn't exactly Cool Runnings...

This. A championship wage budget to get out of the Conference and League Two. Well done, lads...

Tbf am thinking more of what their fans had to endure before the current owners turned up.

We aren't the only ones who have been screwed by our club being horribly run.

Theyve been close to going to the wall a few times. One guy had actually agreed to sell the stadium so it could be knocked down for a hotel to be built on it. They've had a terrible time and now have had some great luck.

It's odd that any football fan would begrudge them that luck imo.

Oh, it's definitely a fairytale for their fans - great for the whole city, too. Just not exactly fair for the teams they've come up against, not that it affects me personally.Good luck to Mac and Deadpool.

This. Don't see how it's that different from City (outright cheating aside). Got lucky with owners that have deeper pockets than the opposition. Have no beef with Wrexham but also don't see the romance/feel good angle. Pure commerce.

Yep, £17 million spent to get to League One. If they didn't have celebrity owners, nobody would be arsed. Football for the reality TV lot.

What utter £#%&!ing %@#$&!s

Awful story? A small club with a quite decent history for playing in Europe and against the odds, gets neglected, stripped down and sold off to every chancer going and nearly end up going out of existence. Always well supported and the hub of the community. Possibly one of the least offensive clubs to exist. They've got some luck, finally, and are on the way to restoration and even progression from their former states.

If this was Southend, who have been through similar, or any lower league club that have been £#%&!ed over constantly but the fans have stuck by them through everything - I'd be happy for them. Its such a weird take, especially when you see what the Glazers have done to us.

I dunno, maybe it's a jealousy thing

Not sure the comparison with city is fair. They're obviously out spending everyone but doing it through sponsorships and the documentary. Their owners have raised their profile globally and they're able to take advantage of that. They had a cash injection at the start but it should be a self sustaining project.

It seems a well run club with the fans and community at its heart. Good luck to them.

Comparing them to City is absolutely ridiculous. From day one, players rocked up at City who had probably never heard of them and were offered massively over inflated wages that skewed the entire Premier League. Not to mention, we find out now, that most of these players and staff were being paid illegally (according to PL rules). They've broken rules, lied about payment structures, sponsorship deals, attendance figures and have £#%&!ed the league for good.

Wrexham have done everything above board and have been utterly transparent with everyone. They've not signed Erling Haaland and stuck him on £4m a week or players like that, have they? They've released their figures recently and shown exactly where the money comes from.

Again, it's just weird to have a hatred for something that's absolutely not Cityesque. I can understand teams around them getting pissed off with the attention and hype they get - but every one of those teams would snap your hand off for the same to happen to them.

Yeah, luckily for us, we've never seen anyone at Old Trafford or an away end that wasn't either Mancunian or had some other connection to the club apart from a new found success or popularity.

Phew.

Whereas Wrexham were whispered about across Europe, with fans and players alike awaiting their return to the upper echelons of football.
