I like his discipline and general demeanour. Let's give him the tools before we rush to bin him.

Wonder if Ajax have got another winger who scored 8 goals in the Eredivisie that we could spend £80m on?

The most important area of the team for me has to be the defence. There's a reason why Guardiola has spent half a billion on defenders since he's been at City and there's a reason why arsenal's title challenge went to shit when their centre backs got injured last year. To play high pressing football you need defenders that fit that mould.

It's essential we sign at least one centre back and two new full backs that are physically robust and can get up and down the pitch without collapsing injured every other week.
Yep. Every manager relies on the quality of the personnel, but some more than others. ETH needs a certain kind of player of a certain standard for his football to work. He eludes to that a lot, stopping short of insulting the players he has at his disposal. Pep is the same. He just has endless riches and freedom to utilise

Martinez is the best example. We’re a different team with him in there. Now you could argue that this isn’t a good thing and he should be more adaptable, but when you’re playing a higher risk style, you need those better players in there.

ETH wasn’t the safe option of manager. We can could have gone with familiar, cuddly Poch or stuck with Ole for that.

ETH won’t have the open cheque and cooked books that Pep has, but he can have a proper recruitment team that shares his idea, not the penny pinching dick swingers we’ve had in recent years who think a viable Kane alternative is Wout Weghorst

its not great but the shit@#%&! players and the owners have to take most of the blame...very odd substitutions aside i'd rather keep eth than have someone like £#%&!ing potter or southgate, until at least someone decent was available or see how he functions with a better structure above him etc

it would be interesting to see what he does with better players (it will still be risky), but it is impossible to ignore the stupidity of what he has been doing in the meantime with the players actually (if not reliably) available.

He’s not without his flaws, but there’s something there with ETH. I don’t want us to abandon it. Certainly not for some of the names being thrown about. This season has been awful. We should be better, but there’s a lot of mitigating circumstances and changing how the club is run has always been a much bigger priority than the manager.

I want to see what he can do under this regime. If he still struggles, then fine, sack him.
Agreed. Erik in.

This past week has been truly atrocious but I'm still not seeing the value in ripping it up and starting again with some completely unproven #@&%!.

Unless a new structure will fundamentally change his tactics, style of play and subs I wouldn't get your hopes up for next season

Reguilon has literally been telling everyone since he left what a huge fan he is, loves the club, goes to aways in London so I'd be surprised if it was him asking to leave. If he did, it was because he got pissed off seeing Linda there instead of him.

Scandalous, ludicrous decision.

I dont dislike EtH. I had a mug with his head on it until my father in law dropped it. But what I can see happening is this:

New signings, clean slate with new 'owners' - then we're 2 down at home to Brentford on opening day of next season and EtH saying "the players...yeah.. Still not 100% after pre season.... we picked up 7 injuries in America and it will be tough".

Not a hater but my immediate thought is:

They're second and in a title battle, we're flailing about in 6th and hoping to end up 8th. Bit of a "And?" stat, no?
