Missed him the last few weeks. If he could pull all the good parts of his game together and be a bit more consistent he’d be some player.

Didn’t put a foot wrong. We tightened our hold on the game when he came on and he put us back in front.

Shit player.

For a player who is usually so frantic, to come on in a game which was so frantic, he was bizarrely composed.

Did a brilliant job when he came on, exactly what Rangnick would have been wanting from him and the goal was a brilliant bonus to that.

Fred brilliant today. Better side without The Scottish Player as well.

The scrappy nature of the game suited him.

I like him. For his effort and being the first in if anyone is being bullied, ignoring actual ability. But today he had really good, quick feet. Did he borrow them or have they been there all the time?

He’s perfectly good - in the right position in the right team.

I’m not sure we can have Fred AND The Scottish Player when we finally get a world class CDM.

Best I’ve seen him in the shirt yesterday, I thought he had a good game.

Drove forward with energy, good weight and accuracy of pass, and nibbled away to win plenty of 50/50s.

Still have major doubts on him being a regular starter in our first XI though. Just don’t see him as a centre mid who can play enough killer passes, or score enough goals at the level we need.

Lovely lad though, and seems to have a nice personality amongst our squad of slapped-arse, whinging spoilt @#%&!s. The likes of Rashford, Martial, Shaw and Maguire could learn a lot from him.
