Now i had everything i owned, all my clothes and kit in around 4 bags, there was a few of us so we dumped all our gear at the union jack club and headed out on this piss.....

I awoke bleary eyed with a duvet wrapped around me at half 5 this next morning in a door way of a large office block...

got my bearings and headed back to the Union jack club to get my bags...

"I'm here for my bags"

"You collected them last night sir and could do with apologising for your behaviour"

They showed me the CCTV and I arrived around 1.30am with a kebab in one hand shuffling round the lobby area trying to shadow box the night porter guy..

emerged from a room with my four bags, fell over about 3 times and stumbled out the door after trying to get INTO my large rucksack...

Flashbacks of the following hours...I 'think' i took all my worldly belongs as a young 18 year old to a £#%&!ing doorway in London and slept like a tramp...

got robbed, by god knows who of EVERYTHING i owned, but they at least left me my duvet so i didnt die...

I had nothing but a £#%&!ing duvet to my name.

Some tramp had a right laugh at my expense and was cutting about London town with 4 bags full of gear...

I claimed it all back through insurance, said i was robbed at the train station whilst on the phone....Got thousands back..

but tipping up in Hampshire later that day trying to explain who the £#%&! i was and i wasnt the late 90's canoe man was a toughy to explain.

London.

Shithole.

Price of a modest hotel = £65

Price of insurance excess & your last shred of dignity = priceless

Carlo, I'm in your hotel pal.

Don't worry though, only 3 of us in that gaff. The rest are staying in some other gaff.

Booked a couple of fully refundable ones yesterday afternoon. One in Barnet and one in Uxbridge. Only a few stops north/west from Wembley with the Uxbridge one.
