Lukaku is a beast of a striker ,he has consistently outscored most of Utd's strikers over the last 4 season's ,and when on top form will destroy any defence . he is a proven premiership striker and will get better with age ,if we sign him ??? ,Utd only have to put decent balls in the box and he will get 20 + league goals a season at least ,can't say that about many Utd strikers over the years on a consistent basis. it would make a big statement if we got him and Morato ,but we would probably be dreaming again ! i am learning not to believe the crap until their signed .

It all seems very definite tbh. If it was anywhere but the BBC I'd probably dismiss it though.

We usually announce when we've agreed a fee with a club too. We did with Lindelof

What are the chances this is all just leaked from Riaola to force Chelsea in to action.

No way the BBC go big with it if it's just from the agent

It's still the BBC

Can't recall when they've said something has been agreed and it hasn't

They don't publish stuff like that unless it comes directly from a club

Fair enough.

I am still old fashioned in that sense.

"Ooh, it's on the BBC site now. Interesting...."

It's very rare that the BBC beats the Sky ticker to the punch on a story.

The Beeb are busy fact checking or second sourcing whereas Sky's motto is "We're never wrong for long."

The Beeb beat Sky to this by 5 minutes, a significant break from the norm.

It came from a club. United wanted this out there.

It is probably not insignificant that the BBC story also stated that United were thereby ending their interest in Morata. How could they be so sure of that? Because we told them.
