So basically just paying off the FA in order to keep ignoring the rules. Well I bet no one saw that coming.

I wonder how much luxury tax went into the brown envelope that enabled that idea to be considered?

What's the point? Either scrap the rules altogether or enforce them properly.

When will this be brought in?

I’m predicting the day before the 115 charges are due to be heard

So predictable isn’t it.

The minute clubs had to get their house in order or face actual punishment the £#%&!ing whole charade falls apart.

“Players might leave if their pay is cut”. Oh £#%&! off. Leave to go where exactly? What league pays what the PL does in wages?

The powers that be are being leant on and leverage being used by very powerful people so of course they’ve buckled. Using the NBA as any kind of indicator is just rubbish as none of their teams are owned by countries with £300 billion.

What you’ll have is 2-3 clubs with unlimited wealth spending what they like, completely £#%&!ing up the entire eco system, driving transfer fees through the roof and everyone else will just have to get on with it.

Tbf city been more disciplined than United when it comes to driving fees through the roof. Didn’t they walk away from Maguire amongst others when the numbers got stupid.

City's charges aren't about overspending

They are far more serious as they are mainly about false accounting to the PL

and this is why we need an independent regulator. Need to stop allowing the clubs to make the rules

Everton & Forest certainly did'nt see it coming that's for sure & both of those clubs should be getting their lawyers to put searious presure on the PL & The FA to deal with , cITY & Chelsea in the same manner.
