Agreed, it seems a bit unnecessary but I suppose it's 14 years since the last one came out. There's a lot of people out there who won't have read it.

Doubt it'll be as good as Big Zlat's tbh.

Paul Hayward's ghosting this, apparently. No idea why his work keeps winning awards tbh, I think he's awful.

Hugh McIlvanney did the las one, but I think he & Chip fell out around 2005 His collected works on Boxing and Football are great tbf.

I'd say it's more to do with the integrity or obedience of the journo than his quality
