Remember it well. I was one of the first to realise what a good player he was. Or I may have gone apeshit about us signing £#%&!ing no marks from Sparta wherever who will never make the grade.

Best side in England for the 2nd half of 05/06 no doubt about it. The next season was just that carrying on.

To think we've now got the likes of £#%&!ing Jones, Rojo and Blind playing in the centre of defence

Remember he hadn't trained for about a month before arriving, hadn't played for two months etc.

So obviously people on RI were calling him shit after about three games

Getting him and Evra in the same January for about £12m ffs.
