some very obvious points well made. this is the nuts of it:

Transition time is a term used to denote the time it takes to sweep away the mentality of the old regime and bring in your own mentality. Essentially, how long it takes to forget the old manager and buy into the thoughts of the new even if it conflicts with what the old manager would say. For a manager who casts the shadow of Ferguson, this will take 3 or 4 years, not 3 or 4 months.

not sure he'll get to half that length of time if results continue being erratic, let alone if he keeps losing matches. but the truth is that for him to impose his personality and get people back fighting for the bigger cause that is United will require the people he inherited to get the £#%&! over what went before or get the £#%&! out of there - with his boot up their arses if necessary

It's come from a City fan, not sure if it's taking the piss but either way

Spot on about the results, we need to get back to winning ways and need something encouraging to cling onto. I'm not sure he's the right man for the job anymore (looks like we've broken him already) and really believe he should be more positive and get more from the squad but what a £#%&!ing huge job he's taken on.
