A shame that "official" politics is so slow to catch up with what many are now feeling

Like they are much different from your last lot tbneoliberals. In the tories defence, at least they come right out and say what the agenda is.

All the white managers should 'black up' for a specified weekend in the spirit of race relations.

Personally I think the Rooney Rule should be brought in.

It's not about black managers not getting a chance at all, but more it's about them not being automatically allocated a seat on the managerial merry-go-round of repetitive failures/journeymen that's telling. If Ince was white he would have got another job somewhere else very quickly (assuming he would have taken it, that is).

Of all the owners, directors, ceos, chairmen etc in football (of clubs, sponsors, broadcasters, officials etc) how many of them have worked routinely with black managers in whatever companies they've been part of? These people should be forced to interview black candidates because otherwise it's easy to imagine that deep down they will always think of that little girl in A Time to Kill being black.

Khan and Al Fayed at Fulham have only ever had one black manager between them.

Yep that really is it. Some are given a chance, and anything less than resounding success means a) the sack, and b) never another chance.
