Football Salford taught the world how to play the beautiful game

One of the first Brazilian football teams can be seen for the first time in this 1912 photograph (above), sporting green and yellow shirts similar to Manchester United’s original kit.

Edit - thought - lol, what a dick!

Well Brazil being the benchmark most footballing nations wish to emulate as they are the most technically gifted and free flowing players, coaches from other nations watch and observe this style of football and teach to non Brazilian players in this world.
Not sure the Brazilians teach inter galactic yet, but the Brazilian style is out of this world.

I see so why they were teaching all these brazilians, sorry THE WORLD, to be wonderful footballers how come they never bothered passing it on to any else in Salford?

Or could it be the article is a load of self-aggrandising, back-slapping %@#$&!s?

Erm they were in Brazil
That was in their leisure time - these salfordians, along with other northern chaps were busy educating the world about industry and manufacturing.

Once again the north leading the way, learn to live with it, acceptance does come more palatable once you learn to accept the truth.

Over and out car 69.

You have a massive chip on your shoulder where the north is concerned . You can't accept that anything outside of London could have started something , created something new or been the epicentre of anything .

The fact is Manchester/Salford has been the forefront or played a significant role in virtually all of the last 200 years culturally significant moments/ movements .

And the South hates that .

Didn't the jocks teach the world how to play modern passing football? Even over the border in England.

Oh. The. Irony.

Stop it, it's just too easy.

Manchester has a wonderful, rich history of great achievements... But if you need to keep telling the world about them - it says more about your own sense of inferiority than anything else.

I'm still waiting for that article "How 2 blokes from the midlands taught AC Milan how to win 7 European Cups" But that would be a terribly slanted look and a bit small time.
