Pretty sure last time we lost 3-0 away at Arsenal we went on to win the treble.

slating carrick and schwein? :shakehead:

arsenal always flood the midfield and they have good players. you cannot blame carrick and schweini.

carrick couldn't carry the whole midfield when we didn't have a midfield. it's hardly fair. and schweini was all over the pitch - not looking tired, but looking like only one man.

just the wrong £#%&!ing team. help these two classy old gentlemen out with a schneidi and a valencia and suddenly they'd look masterful and arsenal would have no £#%&!ing room in midfield. we'd have been better off with martial up front on his own anyway. maybe throw in a fifth midfielder just to make sure.

We didn't half take some hammerings during peak Fergie years. 5-0 at Chelsea always stands out for me

Today was crying out for a 3-5-1-1 formation.

Smalling, Blind and McNair (in lieu of Rojo/jones)

Valencia -Schneiderlin-Schweini-Fellaini-Young

Mata

Memphis

This is of course chosen with the benefit of hindsight

I'm assuming you mean martial, not memphis. and maybe carrick, not fellaini.

but otherwise fine. and not just with hindsight.

We played our best football of the calendar year using one holding midfielder, two advanced, two wide and a lone striker, and we have completely dispensed with it. Why, because Fellaini got found out?

I can't be bothered to talk about formations, positions or who should play where.....when you get bullied and out fought so badly that you're 3-0 down after 20 mins against Arsenal of all teams then serious questions have to be asked.

There's serious questions over the attitude and character of a lot of our team right now. They all seem to be good at talking a good £#%&!ing game on Twitter but they're found seriously wanting in the actual football.

All our new signings, martial aside, have been £#%&!ing shit these last few games. Damian looks absolutely lost, Memphis looks lazy and disinterested, Schneiderlin looked completely out of his depth at champions league level and schweinstiger looks every inch the old man with old legs.

This is going to be a £#%&!ing long, miserable month.

Arsenal were amazing first 20 but we were so naive. Accepting the first goal we should've just done what we normally do and waste time passing around almost aimlessly. Instead we tried to play in a completely alien way to what we're used to. It was bizarre seeing schweinsteiger pushing up so far and leaving gaps for them to attack into.

lvg got the tactics wrong to start with but goals 2 and 3 were down to the players.

We are much better equipped than we were last season to play it too. Shoe Horning Rooney in as a ten at the expense of another midfielder is effing us in the ass.

Sure, Carrick and Schweinsteiger could rotate the hold, stick Schneiderlin in Fellaini's role and put Young back on the left until Depay decides he's going to fight for his place, Darmian at right back, Blind left and Martial up front. Already better balanced than this crap.

Well this is absolutely painful...

Highlights include -

"this could be one of the worst things to happen to Arsenal" and "if we'd have scored the first goals we could have easily hammered them 8-2"

Give up ffs
