Tbf to Rodgers, they're not doing great so a way of keeping your job for longer there is start with the dignity %@#$&!s. It's funny considering they act with no dignity on a lot of things.

More radical thinking from Rodgers. Instead of going for the bog-standard second-person personal prononun + plural option ('your Carraghers, your Gerrards, your McManamans'), he's opted for a ground-breaking new definite article + singular approach. 'The Gerrard'. Always leading the way.

He probably calls himself 'The Rodgers' at home.

I reckon he drops the S, not realising that Rodgers is already singular (I think).

It is all about the materials. I am not a magician. I will be able to improve players – that is my work and I have confidence in that. If I look at the first six months, I believe there has been improvement in a lot of the players. I will be able to rinse everything that I possibly can out of them, but the bottom line is about talent. If you don't initially have that then it can be difficult. That is also why I was brought in here, because we will get talents and we will try to maximise what we can out of players.

You look at Jordan Henderson, Stewart Downing and José Enrique since the start of the season and we have added value back to them. Absolutely. That is the job of the manager and the coach, as well as winning games. My job is to improve players in every aspect of their game and that is something we will look to do because we don't have the resources of the top clubs who are out there paying big money. We won't have that. So we have to find the difference through coaching.
Where to start?

I think "We dont have the resources of the top clubs...."

2012/13 - £40.3m
2011/12 - £56.4m
2010/11 - £80.45m
2009/10 - £36m
2008/09 - £39m
2007/08 - £69.75m
2006/07 - £28.04m
2005/06 - £35.14m
2004/05 - £39.8m

Everton's spending over the same period...
2012/13 - £14m
2011/12 - £8m
2010/11 - £1.5m
2009/10 - £20m
2008/09 - £17m
2007/08 - £19.25m
2006/07 - £7m
2005/06 - £27.6m
2004/05 - £11.25m

Manages to rack up an impressive 8 'I's and 2 'my's. Halfway through he possibly realises he is talking about himself too much and so switches to 'we' (which really means 'I') - he then manages 7 of those. What a clot.

So is he saying they're not a top club?

The only clubs they can't/don't match for spending is City and Chelsea. And few in the world do. They consistently spend as much as us, Spurs and more than arsenal and Everton. I don't see how any club who spends £35 on a championship striker can have the audacity to complain about money. They might not be mega rich, but he's goin on like they're £#%&!in Portsmouth.

Probably how much he should've gone for tbh.

He's still on their books too isn't he? Ruled out for another 2 months at Westham now

I tried putting 'Carroll' and then '£35m' and my phone kept auto-correcting it

How has he "added value back to" Downing, Henderson and Enrique ffs

They're all half decent players who lost a bit of form playing for a shit mid-table team engulfed in a shit storm led by a racist apologist for a manager who then got sacked.

Now they've got used to being a shit mid-table team trying to push for top 6.

It's not that he's added value, it's that they've stooped to conquer.
