He always looks stoned. It's the raised eyebrows.

Insert Paddy Kenny joke here.

unfortunately it would be utterly incoherent. bilbo's rate of editing has reached three per post - he's floating on the ceiling i'd guess.

You can't judge the flight of the ball if you can't see it, so if someone bends it over the wall like that it's almost impossible to save. The only way you'd save that kind of free kick is if you gamble and move early, in which case it's quite possible that you'll end up looking like a @#%&! when it goes in the other side.

BTW at Ajax they had a special technique where Edwin would stand in the middle of the goal and the wall would move at the last moment so that he could see which way the ball was going. Believe it worked quite well too.

If you get beat by two very similar free-kicks taken by the same player for the same team in two games, questions have to be asked. I refuse to believe that Nakamura hit two 'unsaveable' free-kicks from both his chances against us.

Why, exactly?

I'm just wondering, when Denis Irwin and Beckham were curling free kicks into the top corner, did you lot celebrate the goal, then think "Of course the keeper should have stood more in the centre of his goal, etc."
