Default Everton's net spend in the last 10 years..

..

2012/13
-£1,816,000

2011/12
-£12,500,000

2010/11
-£1,700,000

2009/10
-£2,800,000

2008/09
£6,500,500

2007/08
£10,500,000

2006/07
£4,000,000

2005/06
£25,100,000

2004/05
-£20,200,000

2003/04
£1,550,000

How the £#%&! has he got them finishing in the top 6/7 every year with virtually no expenditure?

Might it be that he knows a bit about managing football teams?

Knows £#%&! all about winning trophies though.

Swansea, Birmingham, Pompey, middlesbrough, Blackburn and possibly Wigan will have all won more major trophies than Everton in the last 10 years.

However if finishing mid table every year on a shoestring budget is the name of the game we've got the right man

Perhaps he knows what he's doing after all. Let's give him a chance.

Ferie got 3 years, poor @#%&!'s not even had 3 days.

Has anyone ever doubted his performance, results-wise, at Everton? He's done a brilliant job there.

I just wish that at some stage they'd actually played some good football.

And some doubted Mourinho taking us over, because his teams weren't "exciting" enough

Maybe it was a 'results first & foremost - pretty football is inconsequential' kind of deal.

Like what we've had the last 2 years.

Which was always a reasonable point.

I always expected Mourinho, but there were many potential flaws in that one, too.

How often could you possibly have watched them? I've hardly watched them and I've seen them play a few decent matches ...

In his current team he has Baines, Morralles, Pienaar ... He used to play that Fernandez bloke as well, and one or two others ... His main man is Fellaini, hence why they play it up to him at the moment, surely. And if he also hones our set pieces would that really be so bad?

When he gets to United he's going to have an array of attacking talent the likes of which he's never had in his career at his disposal, as well as a big fat chequebook to sign a player or two ...

The problem with Moyes is when he spends large (For Everton) amounts on transfers

Nikica Jelavic £6,000,000
Diniyar Bilyaletdinov £10,000,000
Johnny Heitinga £6,000,000
Yakubu £11,250,000
James Beattie £6,000,000
Per Kroldrup £5,000,000
Andy Johnson £8,600,000

Also I challenge anyone to name a attacking minded player accept Cahill who has improved under his management in 11 years
