Bailly was good last season, but he also had periods when he was a bit erratic and distracted in his game, had poor spells around the African Nations, understandable, and towards the end of the season when he knew he was out of the Europa final.

Rojo as well, turned his reputation round last year but it will be difficult for him coming off a serious knee injury to prove that run was not an anomaly.

Unfair critism.

Vidic and Evra didn't exactly set the world alight when they first joined and these are pre-season friendlies.

Will be a beast next season.

Stam was pretty bad when he joined and Di Maria was good in his first few games

midfield we seem to be stuck with fellaini and carrick will be a bit part. on the plus side we've got some useful kids, and pogba should be even better this season. herrera will still be a diving @#%&! but hopefully he'll have another good season, and it's a bonus that rooney will never be shoehorned in there.

defence is a shitfest. no idea whether lindelof will be any good but he better be. left back is a mess. right back beyond valencia is a mess. the centre backs we already have are a mess. darmian and rojo are our best players back there but how much more reliable are they than jones is debatable.

in goal romero is quality but if he was 1st choice every week? not sure about that. we need a commanding keeper and if de gea goes then that's a good moment to act.
I thought Fozzie had a decent game at right back in the first half. Might just need some game time to show his qualities?

Wasn't Pallister shit too? Even Rio Ferdinand had a dodgy first 6 months.

Had a nightmare of a debut if I remember correctly but then won United player of the year.

Norwich at home. Gave away a pelanty, Mike Phelan scored the winner for them (2-1)
Hughes with a trademark volley for us IIRC

Deffo need further reinforcements. Frustrating that our perceived main rivals for the top 4 this year are all out there strengthening, while we've had a nibble at a couple and seemingly given it up as futile what happened to there being other options..

We definitely banked on Griezmann coming. Find it incredible no plan B was in place. Perisic is 'meh' to me, still think we'll be signing him close to deadline day. Not ideal

Was Lukaku not plan B? Not being facetious by the way, just assumed he was. Can't believe we would've signed the pair of them.
