RUBIN KAZAN have moved to snap up Adem Ljajic, the Serbian hot property who was bound for Manchester United.

The Red Devils pulled the plug on their move for the exciting Partizan Belgrade midfielder after setting up the deal last January.
After the club initially suggested the decision was based on footballing factors, assistant manager Mike Phelan claimed it was down to a belief that a work permit could not be obtained for the uncapped starlet.
It was a devastating blow for the 19-year-old, who thought he was securing a dream switch to Old Trafford to link up with Nemanja Vidic and Zoran Tosic.
Instead, he will be plying his trade for the Russian champions in 2010.
Rubin are determined to continue their spending spree and have agreed terms with Partizan to bring the youngster to the club in the New Year.
United supporters will monitor his progress with interest after it was warned the decision to scrap the transfer could come back and haunt the Premier League champions.
Ljajic was handed the Young Player of the Year award in his homeland this week in recognition of his stellar form for Partizan.
