Default Team V Celtic - The Official Thread

In the absence of bedders, I will take up the reins.

Fergie already stated there will be 2/3 changes (which usually means half a side) so i think we can rule out the full strength 11.

Here's my guess

Vds

O'Shea
Ferdinand
Vidic
Heinze

Fletcher
Scholes
Carrick
Ronaldo

Rooney
Saha (off as soon as the game is wrapped up, ie, just before their equaliser)

I'd have brown at right full before o'shea - I hope saha starts but don't expect it.

We'll never win the game with BOTH Fletcher & O Gay in the starting line up. We can just about carry one of them, but not both of the @#%&!s.

So, yeah, they'll both start.

It's impossible to win with Fletcher and O'Shea playing but I have a strong feeling in me bones that Fletcher will start. Oh yes. He will start. Which means I shall concentrate on my O'Shit voodoo doll tonight.

Changes from Saturday IMO

O Shithead - Neville, Evra - Heinze and (possibly and I very much hope not), Fletcher - Giggs. I'm not bothered by the defence, if we have the same 6 in midfield and upfront then we'll win at a canter. 3-0. Saha brace and Ronaldo.

I know but I wouldn't, I've put the team I'd select without the mistakes Fergie will make. What exactly does Fergie think the constant giving the ball away Fletcher does adds to the team?

He thinks he'll bring a bit of grafting and hard work to the midfield.

But he makes all that hardwork himself by taking 6 touches to control the ball.

and he's only really grafted once this season anyway against the dippers. He was like the invisible man in the rest, particularly Arse, where he lost a tackle the other player pulled out of. I can slightly understand the Heinze thing as there'll likely be a lot of high balls from Celtic and possibly Nev as he's had injuries and we have adaquate replacements. Fact is from midfield forward all our replacements are bordering on poor or worse.

Neville is supposed to start tonight which is a bit suprising. Although since we won't have an attacking element from the left back, we're going to need it from the right back. Especially since Fletcher will most likely be on the right. And he poses absolutely no threat to fullbacks when he's on the wing.

I'll be content if the spine of the team is playing and Ronaldo.

Crud, I didn't hear he was going to drop Scholes.

We will lose if he plays those two in midfield.
