Exactly this. The fact is, and many people can't or won't accept this, that City are largely a non-entity. They just pay big wages. They've won one league title on goal difference and an Fa cup against Stoke. But in real terms they're nothing.

Look at them ffs. Half empty ground most weeks, a giddy smalltime operation from top to bottom. Of course you'd have to be paid a small fortune to turn out for the £#%&!ing jokers. Why else would players like Aguero, Silva and Yaya Toure even contemplate signing up with them? It's like those chinese and Russian teams that offer players ridiculous salaries because they know actually living there and turning out for their tin-pot £#%&!ing team is a chore that otherwise wouldn't be worth bothering with.
