He did, even played him at centre back as he didn't trust what he had/was making a point to the chinless one.

Love The Scottish Player and I've been vocal about how he's my favourite player at the moment. Always had the mentality, from the day he got poleaxed not long into his debut and just got on with it. There were understandable questions about his ability, but he's answering them now

Give him the armband, make him enforcer. McTerminator.

Gave him his big break...

Created a special award for him in the poty ceremony

I think we’re now seeing the benefits of the way Mou handled the youth players. Slowly gave them opportunities and allowed them to express themselves, while giving them the confidence to become United players.

He's a breath of fresh air in that midfield engine room. Bright and the ability to stamp his personality on the game...

in stark contrast to midfield partners dreadful Fred and the couple of £#%&!ing walking totem poles

Does all the right things too. Hasnt put a foot wrong pre-season. Big season for him, future captain.

Hard to imagine Lingard giving that interview.

Saw an interview with him for the first time recently.

Intelligent and level headed lad.

That reflects on the pitch.

Even when he first arrived, he had a good temperament.

Now, his game has really come on.

He was easily our best player in the home defeat to Barca last season. The rest of them froze, but he rose to it. That performance got lost in the shit team performance and result.

Hope he’s played further forward today and not in the holding role. We miss his energy when played deeper imo

Big season for the lad though and I think he’ll surprise many with how good he actually is

He's been on it pre-season.

A proper box to box player. His range of passing is superb as well.

We need him and Pogba to be firing to do well this season I think.

If Gordon McQueen, Bryan Robson and Gary Neville had a child, it would look a lot like Scott.

Height, composure, won't shut the £#%&! up.

Was thinking that myself Saturday.

Got a lovely habit of dumping an opponent on the turf and just getting himself back in position, no picking them up or apologies or arguing, just hurt them and crack on
