Worse league in years and we're out of the chase before new year. Standards have dropped that low a nil nil at home to a team in the bottom half is considered a positive result

It's LVG's failosophy. Get rid of the prattling bullshitter (along with the snide) and start again.

Revealing how so many don't choose to qualify that with "who just happen to be the reigning champions"

And who have just sacked their manager, and so can expect the usual short term bounce from that.

Had we played as we did against Chelski when facing Norwich, West Ham et al we would still be within sight of the top.

But we didn't beat Chelsea, and we failed to score yet again. Stop papering over the cracks.
We are shit. Moyes was a joke, but the guy in charge now is an even bigger clown.

It was a better performance than a lot we've seen recently, but that's saying very little. Chelsea were awful, we should have beaten them easily ("reigning champions" or not). LVG needs sacking, without doubt.

And I'm not necessarily dissenting totally from that. There is still the chance of something happening if we don't beat Swansea, IMO.......

LvG - 6 weeks ago...
"I get paid a lot of money for doing nothing"
Pretty accurate.
See the fans don't miss a single trick. God loves a trier and so do the match day goers. More heckling from the SE at the Dutch man than ever there was against Moyes.

But why didn't we play that way? That is the most damning aspect of Monday's performance in my opinion.

The fact he has had to come so close to getting sacked to loosen the reigns a bit is absolutely disgraceful. I think he has to go now, before our expectations are lowered even further.

I don't want to have a manager at Manchester United that has to be coerced into playing attacking football.

Lvg has been completely undermined by his desertion of his philosophy, must be desperate to stay tbh.

The thing is, its not just one "side's" fault if you believe some of the reports (I know)

Players going into a sulk because the "banter" isn't as good under LvG, because of what they get to eat for lunch or not being able to pick their kids up from school

You are playing for Manchester United, FFS. Man up

Monday was a step in the right direction, especially the benching of Fellaini.

We have a winger playing at right back, a midfielder at centreback, a striker in atrocious form & a supposed playmaker who isn't influencing games to a high or consistent enough level.

So we have plenty of potential for improvement, though it is slightly concerning that we haven't heard anything on the transfer window front.

Revealing how many people who hang their hat on that don't qualify it with they've lost at home to Bournemouth, conceded at home to Watford and Sunderland and got beat at Leicester this month.

Or that we managed to score nil despite them not bothering to get within 10 feet of Schweinsteiger all game.

I agree with the last paragraph, as long as it's qualified with provided they all played as shit as the reigning champions.

Of course, they lost to Bournemouth and Leicester whilst they were getting Jose sacked

If we could somehow, miraculously, against all logic, get our shit together for just 5-6 games we could make things interesting. We won't though. It'll be normal service resumed next weekend at old Trafford against Southampton.

Not a chance

We are averaging 1.2 goals a game, which is nowhere near good enough.
