My one bugbear with our lord Eric. Had he not done that, it's certain we would have won 3 in a row that season, and possibly, 4, 5....

Blackburn won the league by 1 point, and I refuse to believe we wouldn't have made up 1 point with Eric in the team.

Daft thing to do, idiotic in fact, as much as we look back and laugh now.

Did he score every goal we scored that season, did he keep the opposition out all onhis own, did he pull off brilliant saves.

Let's keep things in perspective...

You are a clueless £#%&!stain.

Trying to get the ball under control...and succeeding to get the ball under control. Before executing a perfect lob over the keeper. Three touches, bang.

Sheesh.

I agree but using the same logic you can't then blame him for the failure to win the league in 1995

coventry away in 95 was £#%&!ing brilliant

cole also won the penalty and scored the other goal against southampton

the chances he had at west ham weren't stick on goals by any stretch, and he also hit the post with a good shot

choccy missed the easiest chance i reckon, but he also got the equaliser

thing i remember is that fk from irwin shaving the bar with miklosko for once nowhere

and wilkie, the @#%&!, ignoring breacker's blatant handball when he punched a corner off Bruce's head

Hughes should have been on earlier ...had forgot about the penalty

Having Chocolate on instead of Hughes that day was a crime against humanity.

Though I think Ferie might have made up for it a bit since.

Default it is fair

to point out (as throb did) that the only reason it mattered that we didn't beat west ham is because cole pretty much won the game against coventry on his own, when the rest of team were utter shite and he was brilliant and brilliant too. not to mention being brilliant.

I'm not sure why anyone would need to take sides over andrew v edward. they were both great players. even if teddy will only be remembered as a sub.
