Not since his return injury anyway. No surprise really, given how long he was out for. I'm sure he'll be up to speed soon enough though.

But we really need three points against Everton. Liverpool are very mentally weak - if they go into the Chelsea game 5 points behind us, the pressure on them will be immense.

I'm hoping the blue scouse rest a few, with their FA Cup game in mind.

Giggs will be key in opening up Everton. They're a very hard side to break down.

I'd probably go with jablonsky's team.
Agreed

Scholes always needs a few games to play himself in

Same thing happened last year.

I just wouldn't use this game as one to play him in with. This is a must win game

not at all

there's nearly half a season to go, of course

it'd be nice to get 10pts from the next 4 games for example, but it hardly looks like it's even nearly essential

Agreed, Everton will have the "dogs of war" out for this, don't need an off the pace Scholes in that circumstance. That said, it wouldn't surprise me if he played and did really well.

I think in the context of the weekend and the other game it is a must win.

Although I realise why now i'm a fan and not Fergie

If we didn't win this game i'd panic.

Fergie would gather his troops and sort out preparation for the next time, keeping everyone focused.

[SIZE="1"]There are other differences aswell...

i think you are right from the psychological aspect, of course

and, for example, i'd say the players will be thinking that they have to win this game to ram home the point they've made over the last 6 league games

the danger lies with the possibility that not winning becomes a bigger disappointment than it really should be

on paper, the next 4 games are a 'must get 10pts' regardless of the current situation. it is easy to make the case that, for example, it is even more important to make good that target given that we seem to have the vermin on the ropes. but of course, it doesn't work like that, and after those 4 games have been played there'll still be a third of the season to play.

we are bang on target (50pts from 22 games is exactly as predicted ) to hit 83 to 85pts. the way things are going I'd stick my neck out and say that we perhaps won't need that many and even if we need more we'll get them anyway. it only takes one or two disappointments to change the picture entirely of course, like a dodgy decision knocking us out of Europe, for example.

I agree with that side. O'Shea in if Evra isn't fit.

C'mon people, with Evra out, let's bring in the Brazillian, we're at home and will need his attacking ability to break down a rather negative everton. Let's not fall into the trap Rafa keeps doing, positivity all the way.

Injuries pending, I wouldn't change the starting line-up from that of WB.

I suppose someone's already said that.

Yup, and Nemanja is a slight doubt. Nani, Evra and Rooney back for West Ham.
