Default Predictions for the new season

I know it's a few weeks away but if we assume that Fergie finds 'no value' in the market and our squad is added by one player. How do you think we'll do?

League: 2nd or 3rd
FA Cup: Won't win it
League Cup: Won't win it
Champs Lg : Last 16

I can't see us making any progress on last season whatsoever. We will also get beat by Citeh in the league too and we'll never hear the end of it.

Can anybody be more optimistic than that?

I'll hold fire until the transfer window shuts before I commit to anything. One proper signing could make the difference.

Berbatov to have a stormer
Obertan, Hernandez, Gibson to really step up to the plate and make a real contribution.

This pre season reminds me of 1995/6 which was on premier league years last night, real lack of enthusiasm throughout the fans but the youngsters were terrific.

Think we may see Nani step up to World class.

Hopes so, he has it in him.

Gibson reminds me of Frank Lampard when he was younger, right place right time sort of player with a nack of scoring important goals.
Could be a surprise player of the year nominee if he gets a run

If City finish ahead of United I will purchase a hat and then eat it. It will take them to the end of October to even have a clue about how to play together. They'll get top 4 this time though.

United to win some games and play some fantastic football

United to lose a few games and Rooney to get injured

Too much 4-5-1, not enough tweaked 4-4-2

Large crowds at Old Trafford

Tottenham to be in the bottom six in October

City to have a flyer

Roy Hodgson to get the sack

Real to win la liga

Tbh, I don't rave about Welbeck, just think he's very young and raw but will make a very good player when he's developed fully.

I am being a bit tongue in cheek about Gibbo tbh, though I have my doubts he'll make it at United. He just seems a bit one paced and cumbersome to me, has a cracking shot on him mind, lacks a bit of creativity in his passing. Time'll tell and i hope i'm wrong.

More recently, there was an astonishing amount of doom around at the start of the 2006/07 season

Sparky will see his arse big time around the 60th minute of just about every game whilst posting in the match day thread.

Rafabio and Saf will be banned for posts in a match day thread.
