if we were in the champions league final and had our strongest team out but had 1 space which had to be filled by either fred or The Scottish Player in midfield, 10H would choose fred as would any fan who knows the first thing about football

Okay pal. That must be why the Europa Conference champs want him to replace Declan Rice, and Fred is on his way to a league that’s worse than the Scottish one.

I think The Scottish Player is shite but there’s no way he’s worse than Fred. The Scottish Player’s worst trait is his cowardice/hiding from the ball. Fred might have a 7/10 game every few months but all the games inbetween are marked by his inability to pass the ball 10 yards, his knack for giving the ball away in our half (only Pogba was worse for this), and that stupid smile he does when he takes potshots from 25 yards out and it goes nowhere near the goal.

Fred had become death, the destroyer of chances.

The most inconsistent player I’ve ever seen, it wasn’t even game to game with him, one half he could be best player on the pitch then second half a £#%&!ing disaster

He was shit, but he always worked hard.

During those last few games of Rangnick’s spell, most of them downed tools. Fred didn’t. Still ran his shit little socks off.

Resilient little £#%&!er. Never bothered by another awful performance. Summed up in those two games we had back to back against Leeds last season. Absolutely awful in the 2-2 draw at home, then man of the match contender at their place just four days later.

He had his moments, but they were one in every ten games and he just didn’t have the requisite quality or consistency needed to be a regular in CM in an aspiring top team.

Good luck to the guy, but for £60m, he’s been an awful signing and it’s being very kind to suggest otherwise.

For me, the midfield duo of Fred & The Scottish Player will always mark the low point of this club in the modern era.

I found it particular unbearable before the club bought Fernandez and the line up was Fred, The Scottish Player and Andreas Pereira....ghastly... pub football was more entertaining.

I appreciated that he worked hard, but.....the talent wasn't there.

Actually felt he became a decent squad player under ETH, however, if we’re going to get back to the top then the floor for our squad players needs to lift.

This.

He tried, did some good things, did some horrendous things but glad he's gone.

When he had a good game he was decent, when he had an average game he was shit, and when he had a bad game he was a catastrophe.

Unfortunately the majority of his performances were average or bad.

We'll never have to worry about him getting onto the end a pull back or a loose ball on the edge of the area again.

Annoys me how we never sign the skilful Brazilians. Do they even exist any more?
