Scotland have played well in spells tonight, but there has always been the feeling that Spain are playing within themselves.

On Fletcher watch, I know Bors was positive about him at half time but to me he looks to be lacking that burst of pace he had 2 years ago. That allowed him to constantly get close and pressure the opposition. It is very hard against Spain as they move the ball so quickly but Fletcher to be at his best level needs to be close to peak fitness, and he still looks a way off it. He will last the game but he is not maintaining the intensity his game needs.

He looks dead now, just walking around the pitch in the last 5 mins. I thought he would last the game but he looks shattered.

The Barca/Spain style of play is dominant at this stage. Spain always had talent but they lacked togetherness and would usually blow up in tournament football. It is just a stream of world class footballers they are producing now, Fabregas, Javi Martinez Iniesta and Mata would be a world class midfield but none of them are involved tonight.

Psychologically I wonder how Utd would deal with drawing Barca again, beaten quite easily in the 2 biggest club games on the planet, toyed with at times, would be very hard to have the belief that they could win.
