Sorry but the thought of our lot out in South Africa shouting and roaring that they're Irish every five minutes and how everyone loves us, with their big tricolour leprechaun hats on and inflatable shamrocks doesn't exactly endear me to the exploits of the national squad.

Not to mention the fact that we are as entertaining to watch as Burnley.

Imo it's much more embarrasing when Irish reds pretend to be english in order to fit in.

In fairness, if it was a fix, he could've fixed France with an easier draw than the Trap inspired ROI, surely.

I would imagine the French are not totally enamoured with the prospect of facing Ireland twice.

I think too much is made about which way the round the legs are. The seeding is a disgrace though

Indeed, though I will still be laughing at the French if you do anyway so it's win-win for me

I can't believe how £#%&!ing bent FIFA are.

All of a sudden announcing seeding for the play-offs :sheakehead:

Hopefully all of the underdogs go through, or at least if Ireland can do the French there would be some justice.

yep - you tend to find the non-footballing people come out of the woodwork during these competitions and pick up the closest team top support. Proper football people don't support their "derby" rivals.
