don't know about that but United have actually made an official bid. these things are of course newsworthy.

Agree he'd be brilliant, but the general feeling is that he's looking to stay at Atletico for the time being. He's developed brilliantly over the last year or so and I think he's keen not to make any rash decisions on his future when he's still only just turned 20. I think we can expect to see him stay at Atletico for at least another couple of years.

United want Berbatov. Spurs are clearly prepared to sell. The player is desperate to move. I find it very hard to believe, with these three things in place, that the deal won't go through. Perhaps Huntelaar is being used to speed up negotiations, but I'd be surprised if it was anything more than that. He's nothing special, which is why, despite all the rave reviews, none of Europe's bigger clubs have even made a firm approach for him.
