Cantona sowed the seed of a work ethic at United where people took responsibility for themselves on and off the pitch. He was a role model to young players at the club in how to be independant of thought and stand up for yourself and not be looking for someone else to blame when you are up against it. Henry sowed the opposite at Arsenal and they are still reaping the harvest of that culture. Actually both clubs are.

He scored a lot of goals for arsenal but in terms of skill, vision and ability bergkamp shits on him.

Eric won the league every season he played in England, the only exception being 1995 when he was banned - and no-one is telling me he wouldn't have won 1 more point for United.

It's a feat that rarely gets mentioned. I would have loved to have seen him at USA 94, but Ginola put paid to that.

Objectively, you are probably right. But any United fan who waited 26 years while the vermin cleaned up (I waited 5 ) would put Cantona higher than anybody.

Cantona was the better player, Henry the better striker.

Anyway, does Henry prefer bourbons or custard creams? Bourbons for me all day long. The King of biscuits.

agreed. i love cantona and was actually nervous when i met him at old trafford in the players lounge a few seasons ago.
