Can’t remember a time when England had their best XI on the pitch.

Someone on talksport yesterday said that any reasonable player would score 20 in that city team and I think that’s fair.

I find england a lot more tolerable to watch now that the national mood around them is one of total apathy.

20 years ago the post euro 96 hype was tedious for a few tournaments but sure enough after watching a decade of complete tripe in major tournaments nobody expects anything from England any more.
