It’s almost genius and the ability to do it instinctively at such a crucial moment is so impressive.

So subtle but real class. He said in the post match interview that he wanted to slide the ball straight back to Garnacho but the pass wasn’t on. So I think that’s what the feint is about as he changes his mind in a split second and lets his roll across his body instead to take the shot on his left. What a moment!

I heard he was fasting for Ramadan. Must have given him the focus and presence of mind. Praise be to Allah. In Amad we trust.

I’ve still no idea how he finished that - thought it was very much off for him based on the pass and touch he had to take.

Same. I actually screamed ‘you £#%&!ing dicks’ as the pass from Nach was slightly off and I thought Amad had £#%&!ed the angle. And then I saw it rolling the £#%&! in.

Sweet Jesus.

Thought Nach was incredible - no one gave more than him in that match. Incredible.

Who is the Liverpool keeper btw? Looked scared to death and had a slight post Aushwitz traumatised look and image about him. Have completely missed what’s happened to Allison etc.

As others have said, that little drop of a shoulder gave him just enough space to squeeze the shot away. Fantastic.

Probs need to go through the Antony thread to find it all but I cba. If I stumble across it all I’ll throw it up.

It was basically whenever it was suggested we should try amad instead of Antony - it was dismissed by CK and you fairly swiftly as being a stupid idea….

I’ve just gone through a load of my posts on the Antony thread (up until the middle of last year), there isn’t one mention of Amad; I haven’t even quoted anyone mentioning him. There are several references to Pellistri, however.

I will accept the apology, I’m not so petty as to spurn it.

It was possibly only CK - I’ll have a quick look later pal. Forgive me if I’ve conflated his opinion with yours. In my defence, it’s almost impossible not to.

. As I said on the Amad thread, if Amad gets fit and match sharp him and Antonys third / breakthrough season could be immense....

There's a lot more in Antony than we've seen this season....he was good last season...

Look at post 88 a couple of posts up this very page if you want evidence of your opinion of Amad. I found that in a couple of seconds.

I’m prepared to leave this now for the good of the forum. It’s not lost on me that Ned has dealt with all of this with class and dignity.
