The only thing that could have made the volley more aesthetically pleasing is if it had struck the crossbar before going in

First one not bad either teamwise.

Just dont seem to score goals like that anymore. Watching the build up to 1-0 is like watching aliens compared to what we've become accustomed to...

I was thinking just the same thing. Completely different pace and execution.

Ooh, I'm not sure about that. I like a clean strike.

Sparky's last minute equaliser in the semi against Oldham.

The signing was a masterstroke as far as output was concerned. His early to mid season form put us in a position where the challengers couldn't be arsed to chase us down.

Weak league I believe was the press narrative as we drew closer to number 20. If he'd been on song at the time we would have won at the bernabeu too. . He was absolutely immense that season and seeing him sat next to Fergie signing was surreal.

Great goal but not as well hit as that. And the distance it travelled before he hit it. Amazing.

That he told the berts to £#%&! off was quite pleasing too.

no joke, one of my favourite seasons. it wasn't just about winning the title, it was also about getting our revenge after all the gut wrenching events of the previous season. still get a kick from watching robin's free kick against city, what a feeling that was.

Indeed. Rooney deep, pinging a crossfield to Valencia to get us in down the right, leading to a goal. Haven't seen that in ages tbh.

Incredible the standards Fergie set. That was a fairly boring side by United standards over the previous twenty years
