Default Banners In Milan

from the offical site.

United fans wishing to display banners or, in some cases, flags inside the San Siro on Tuesday 16 February must first have them approved by AC Milan.

In line with Italian regulations, fans must supply a picture of the banner/flag and information about its size to the visiting club's Security Operative Group. After examining all submissions, the committee will notify each applicant of its decision to allow or prohibit the item from entering the stadium.

Flags not in club colours may not be allowed into the San Siro, while two-stick flags or flags of excessive dimensions likely to obstruct other supporters’ views are definitely prohibited. AC Milan also prohibits drums, loudspeakers or “any other sound diffusion systems” into the San Siro.

Fans wishing to display banners must download and complete the relevant form on the AC Milan website before emailing it to [email protected] or faxing it to +39 0299786365 before 19:45 GMT on Tuesday 9 February.

A scooter has been thrown off the top tier in Milan before, i don't think they'll give a £#%&! about flags!

You're right though, they're worried if that's on the website.

Keep it going

Yeh the carabinieri on the gate are going to ask for your letter of approval from the club before they let you in with a flag.
They must think none of us have been to an away before. It's nice to see they are getting rattled by it though

Fans insisted they will wear the new emblem of the protest – scarves in the colours worn when the club was founded at Newton Heath in 1878 – not only in this country but at San Siro for next week's Champions League clash with Milan, despite suggestions on United's website this week that flags bearing the protest colours "may not be allowed".

The Italian club said yesterday that there was no rule on the colours to be sported by away fans and that they were willing to assist if United felt there might be a problem. United insisted that their advice had been a response to their interpretation of Italian law. But fans' suspicions that the club is seeking to silence their protests have been fanned as word has spread of the dismissal of one of Old Trafford's longest-serving stewards after he took back a banner seized from fans by his employers and attempted to return it.
