yeah the ones that attribute football hooliganism to wider cultural politics are the best. How a generation is influenced by youth culture, football, music and more. Much better than just saying 'and then we beat the £#%&! out of them, then a couple more, then he beat me up' etc.

Perry Boys was used to descibe the wider phenomenon

I didn't know one lad that would have been seen dead in one.It was sergio,lacoste and fila . What was the point in pillaging small european towns and returning with a fred perry ?

Ps Hughes -the colour was wine not maroon

fred perry was a mod/skin thing which was before, lacoste shirts were described as "like a fred perry" so maybe that's why?
