Default World Cup 2030

Not content with ruining the last world cup FIFA have now all but confirmed that that 2030 WC which should rightly have gone to a joint Uruguay/Argentina bid will now be held in Morocco, Spain and Portugal save for three group games which will be held in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay

Thumbs down

The right thing to do would obviously have been to grant Uruguay and Argentina joint hosting rights, as it would have been a great way to celebrate 100 years of the tournament, going back to where the first World Cup was held.

Obviously FIFA are never going to do the right thing, and are hell-bent on destroying the game in every conceivable way.

Game we loved is truly dead.

Needs a complete re-set.

I’m really angry that a game I won’t go to will be televised from a different country. Games dead.

Tournaments in South America are the best though. Brazil 2014 was a joy to watch.

FIFA have rules about sequencing tournaments across different regions. these three games count as South Americas "turn" meaning 2034 can go to Asia/Australasia....i.e. Saudi Arabia

Was it? Honestly couldn’t think of a game, although I don’t remember many from Qatar

Rival bids had been expected from South America, where Uruguay and Argentina, alongside Chile and Paraguay, had been expected to team up

Brazil vs Germany is one of the greatest knockout games in history imo. Remember watching it utterly stunned at what I was seeing. The final was a bit bland tbf.

Atmosphere was also incredible, great vibes, Brazilian women everywhere. Can recall constantly wishing I was there.

And how could I forget England crashingout in the group stages under Hodgson. Magic.

Why do they have to take something that's already so popular and loved the way it is and just start £#%&!ing around with it?

Wonder when they’ll propose 2 halves being played in different cities.
