Nani is exciting because you know what he can do but you're still surprised when he does it.

Ronaldo just does it because he's £#%&!ing awesome and you're surprised when he doesn't.

Both exceptional players in their own right, but that's the difference for me and it's probably down to physique and mentality more than anything else. Plus knowing how to practice and what to practice as well.
