Remember when Carrick, Herrera and Fellaini dominated for that spell last spring, particularly at Anfield, and you just thought if we could get someone better than Fellaini to do that role of the more physical presence of the trio. Now we have Pogba; should be a nice balance.

more likely than either of those idiots.

as I said, though, he is pitching for the same spot as we are heavy... most notably mkhitaryan. assuming pogba is picked, no one is likely to get a run unless fellaini and rooney are dropped ftom a great height.

mourinho is stupid.

Yep. And none of them have played that much football. Time to give it a go.

Ibra flanked by the runners of Rashford, Martial and to an extent, Pogba. It makes too much sense.

Edit...I called Rooney a runner.

Mkhitaryan or Herrera for you?

Top of the shopping list next summer has to be Carrick's replacement. Even more so than a CB.

Should have been top of Moyes's list instead of that £#%&!ing THING. But we all said that at the time. I suppose he dithered over Fabregas, after making an absolute buffoon of himself over Thiago, but anyway...

At least van Gaal did sign Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger. They were £#%&! and maybe that was partly his fault but you know, they were midfielders for midfield. They're never going to work though so we have to try again.

of course not. our free kicks have been absolutely £#%&!. rooney and young standing over the ball?
he played a 3rd of the game time Rooney did at Watford and at no point did he trip over his own feet, spanner a cross under no pressure or get needlessly booked. Rooney used to be phenomenal, now he's £#%&!. For how long are you going to defy all evidence of this? Wouldn't make a top 50 players in the world list but he's your first name on the team sheet. How bad does that make United in your eyes?

** apologies, Hit reply on the wrong comment...all of the above addressed to bunks c/o the Wayne Rooney foundation. Was something about an Ibra highlights reel

how should i break this to you - er, about rooney's performance tonight, it was terrible. soz.

actually felt for the lad tbh. quite painful to watch.

9 is 100% the only position for him though, and hopefully that's mourinho's thinking now. we actually looked good in the middle third tonight.

january for carrick 2.0

if both herrera and mkhitaryan were fit and on form and I could pick the rest of the team, I would pick mkhitaryan. but I would have no trouble picking herrera.
