southampton had more of the ball than us today, first time in a long time that has happened at OT, certainly rarely happened under lvg. Yet look at the difference in our goal threat today compared with your typical southampton game under lvg?

Possession obsession is a cancer in the game. Not that I am encouraging Leicester style counter only football, but there should always be purpose and tempo in our attacking play.

Suffocating the game through sideways passing on the half line is the death of the spectacle. To be fair to LVG we did improve in the second half of last season, slightly, but only after some of the worst excess of pointless possession you could witness.
