No way Chelsea sell to us. We blew that one.

Agreed about Bale, £80m for him is silly money, he'll never be on Ronnie's level. I think the likes of Hazard, and even Moura under a good coach offer much better value.

Ooh bad rep for the TBR reference. Precious sage @#%&!s

Hate bale's style, very dull player to watch even with his pace.

The only attacking player left, worth buying right now is Robben who obviously stated he was happy where he was but if United offered enough money his club may well shove him out of the door.

Won't happen of course.

so we've already marked it down as pure bullshit but we've moved on to stage two of naming the players we're going to buy and break the world transfer record

Ronnie's coming home YHIHS

I can't get my head around the logic behind this. Who's he trying to appeal to by telling the world we have so much to spend? Duvet reds?

Its the business equivelant of walking through an impoverished concrete jungle on a Friday night waving 50s.

Yeah, it's weird.

I don't doubt United are prepared to pay big money. We've spent over £120m in the last 11 months ffs. But why the constant bragging? Previous suggestions that Woodward wants a glamour signing. Is it possible he's nudging LvG to let him get a big-money signing?

The only close to record-fee player around I can think of is Pogba. He'll go for major money sooner or later.

I found bale to be a very exciting player to watch, surging runs from own half and ability to score from range??
Really should have signed him IMHO .
