Default UEFA Youth League

Quite intrigued by this, tbh. Will be interesting to see how it goes.

For those that don't know, groups and games run parallel with the senior competition.

Eurosport have TV rights to the tournament. United's opener being shown live this afternoon.

Some good players in there, with the one obvious stand out. Been impressed with Pearson, Wilson and Pereira whenever I've seen them aswell.

Didn't know either, cheers.

I'd like to spend a season just following this team home and abroad for a change. Wont be this year like but assuming it's a success and continues then I'll defo have a go at it one year.

Looks a good decision now to blank the Next Gen series and hopefully this one will be better.

United won the 2007 World Youth Cup in Malaysia, beating Barca, Inter, Juve and Porto and playing some great football. Even though not a single player made it through it was still a good indicator of the level the whole club was reaching at that time - as shown by what the 1st team went on to do in the CL

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_Champions_Youth_Cup

Here's a snap shot of that 2007 squad:

13. Woods
16. Moffatt
15. C. Evans
7. Chester
8. Eckersley
3. Barnes
2. Lee
14. Derbyshire
9. Bryan
11. Norwood
12. McCormack
1. Zieler
4. Brandy (3)
5. Cathcart
6. Hewson (2)
10. Drinkwater (15)

7 of them still have careers playing league football in various countries, off the top of my head, pretty good effort that.

Think they implemented this on Football Manager, wondered what it was all about.

Good idea.
