O'Shea is injured no? Can't see Brown or Red Nev thrown in here.

Evans had a shocker there last year. Then again I guess everyone did.

He's physically very fit judging by the reserve game and him training for about a month now, all about match sharpness now but then again this is the same guy who came back from an 8 month ban and put in world class performances straight away.

Got a good feeling we'll have him fit now for a long period, going down with that not too serious knee injury has helped hopefully taken the pressure off his back for the period it really needed.

Think his injury problems would have just rumbled along all season had he played the world cup.

yep. A dreadful performance all round.

need to go and get a good result with emphatic performance. The boo boys will be out baying for rooney's blood.

Let's hope for once that our midfield doesn't wilt in the face of a simple agressive pressing game like it did at fulham.

There's nothing wrong with our midfield. In fact, there's no one anywhere in the world that could improve it. So I'm told anyway

Yea, last season was a nightmare. Took the lead as well ffs. Always tough to second guess the manager, but I really hope we don't play two in the middle. It's just asking for trouble.

Rooney winner

I'm a Tony fan, but think Giggs deserves a start. Also, all this talk of him becoming Wales manager is worrying me, so a reminder of what he'd be giving up wouldn't hurt

tough one this. i think we should be going with 3 in midfield but berbatov doesn't deserve to be dropped.

Berbatov was one of the few who had a decent game in this fixture last year (and scored our goal, of course)

Despite that, he got taken off for Owen - who proceeded to do his best plank of wood impression

We'll be fine on Saturday. Think this Rooney thing will overall help him on the pitch and the team.

3-1 United, Nani and Rooney to destroy them.
