Too old?

He's 27 isn't he? Is a professional footballer now finished at 27?
Don't think there's anything in it bar a bit of page filler but it's quite possible all he needs atm is a change of scenary.

I think there's no chance. If he does leave Barca it'll be for Chelsea.

Assuming we got him, we'd be paying what? £30M or so. Assuming we signed him on a 5 year contract, he'll be 33 ish when it expires. A lot of money for someone who will effectively be past it as far as playing at the top level is concerned. I'd rather see us spend £30M and buy say Messi or Fabregas, someone we can keep for 10 years+.

I would love to buy Fabregas

Fabregas and Anderson in the middle would be mouth watering

We could have had him for what we've paid for Carrick and Hargreaves. MOTWYW.

Arsenal have never been able to withstand a sizeable offer. We'd have got him for £30M, no question about that. There is nothing in the press but they paid £#%&! all for him and it would be mostly profit, they'd have sold.

So you are making it up. Fair enough but you should make this clear.

I'm glad we got Hargreavs and Carrick was one of the biggest reasons why we won the league last season so it ain't that bad.

Should've got him when we bought Pique
