Black shorts are hardly a radical departure, at the rate we churn out kits nothing wrong with tinkering a bit. The red socks are very scouse though

Yep, black shorts and red socks with a red (as opposed to white) shirt is just totally wrong. Would like to think it is a small part of our present malaise, even.

some outrageous former legend nailed it early in summer when they said the kit actually suits us this season. as we have a manager that is never a united man so why not go all out and bastardise the whole season?

Should always be red shirt, white shorts and black socks at home, with the only exception being European games where we switch to white socks.

Black shorts should be a rare treat for moody aways only.

This season’s kits are a monstrosity, but perfectly in line with the club as a whole, which is being run by leeches that don’t understand us at all.

The least of our worries but I think it looks better. Ooh tradition.
