We just look lazy tbh
We love a good sideways passing routine. Players coming from the front into midfield just so they can have a go at passing it back or sideways.

I always thought this was a LVG thing, but it's still there. We lack players (pogba aside) who have the balls to try a forward pass under pressure. Matic found himself as playmaker at the weekend and obviously not his thing, but where were Mata, Herrera, Lingard? Too busy going sideways.

Watching Spurs last night and they were the opposite. Always trying that incisive as to the front players.

He does work hard, just in areas he knows where he needs to be.

The only forward we've got who we can trust.

They're wildly inconsistent though, we're expected to be challenging for the title, you can't do that with 2 erratic kids up front

We did a lot of that at Liverpool to be fair. Passing to their front players

They were literally hiding from the ball, standing in areas where the cannot be passed to.

To be fair to Ander when another has the ball he works for the team. The other two though. Having a shocking season is Ander.

There's too many players who have had a good few months and got comfortable again.

£#%&!ers.
If it's all about watching players 'put a shift in' I suggest you go support Burnley

Yep, runs around a lot and is snide so people think he's a top midfielder. Trouble is he doesn't get forward often enough and very rarely seems to pass the ball forward......loves a backwards pass does Ander.

Surely you'd love a Shane Long up front

He'd 'put in a shift' after all?

anything to do with him being played out of position as a defensive midfielder?

God knows why "Red Santos" is having ANOTHER pop at Ibra, his return can't come quick enough.

Not about "pace".

It's about know what your good at and he does.

Hope your enjoying the mid table lump up front.
We had pretty much the same problems with Zlatan in the team last season. Unless he's played in a more withdrawn role, I'm not sure how exactly his static approach is going to help us.

On an unrelated note, we have far too many passengers in the team, who prefer others to take responsibility for winning games

he's our henderson - runs around a lot, phony hard man, full of PASHUN but lacks in ability

Who the £#%&! are you anyway?

We've a bunch of lazy footballers who are happy to pass off the responsibility. The lack of movement, workrate, desire off the ball for a club this size is unacceptable and isn't down to the manager (because many of them have had multiple managers) but individuals themselves.

Well yeah, possibly...

But then when he plays further forward he does next to nothing to help decide a game.

Yeah...

I agree you muppet. Doesn't mean that we should settle on a formation that is clearly isolating our main attackers does it....

You have to be th biggest %@#$&! on here...

Go read the gossip columns and pass off their information as your own like you always do.

Well it's a £#%&!ing start. For all his criticisms least he puts in a shift for his team mates, sadly I can't say the same for some of the others.

He's had a poor start, he's better than what he's showing (as we've seen the last few years).

Exactly.

And as for the players lacking motivation.

Who's responsibility is it to manage the team's motivation??

The same guy who took the steam out of our side by playing like lower division cup teams against a liverpool on the ropes? the same guy who said PSG have more magic and youth?

"it's the players fault for not being motivated"

Well yeah, what the £#%&! is he playing at with that nonsense?

Players still have to do their jobs though. Some have played the manager card already.

bit harsh. we have too many players like herrera, mata, mkhi, lingard... I'd even include pogba.... who are attacking midfielders. herrera's defending is ok for someone who has the freedom to buzz around "pressing", but not good enough in front of the defence. what we don't have is proper wingers or enough proper midfielders like matic or carrick (and valencia is being played out of position too). ozil is just going to add to the puddle around the overflowing attacking midfielder cup.
