Bit confused as to why he's so hated He played for Liverpool, which makes it even more funny that he plays for us. He comes on occasionally and scores equalisers/winners. He was free, he's on a lower wage than John O'Shea. He has a proven track record for scoring goals all over Europe.

If he'd cost 20m id be £#%&!ed off at his injuries and goal record, but since he was free, who cares

Yeah, but then Gerrard is an actual scouser. Owen is just someone that played for the club for a few years. Its just a nice feeling to take one of the best goalscorers in their history and make him warm our bench. Sort of like saying 'Here's your hero, he earns less than John O'Shea and he wanted to play for us, have that, @#%&!s'
