I genuinely can't remember the English sides having an easier passage to the quarters than this.

3 absolute no-shows from the opposition in each tie. Can't wait until next season when hopefully there's a bit more intensity and jeopardy about these games.

Obviously if we somehow manage to get into the knockout stages of the champions league, all europe's big guns will be firing again.

A win in Turkey or a draw in Germany and we’d have been in this round. Don’t forget that.

We had to get something at a Turkish team no @#%&! had heard of with a 45 year old demba Ba up front how much easier could we have had it?

As it turns out we've drawn a harder team in the europa than any english team have drawn in the champions league.

this might be the end of Diego Simeone's run at Madrid, they need an evolution this way of playing football is no bueno.

but Chelsea absolutely played them off the park, didn't give them a sniff all game, Tuchel deserves a lot of credit for that tbh he's even managed to get a tune out of Havertz.

Joao Felix absolutely wasted over there.

You're always going on about Thomas Tuhel. Let it go, lynne. You're never gonna meet him.

Not for long. Barcelona are 4 points behind them and Atletico drew 0-0 with Getafe at the weekend.

Despite how mind bogglingly wretched Liverpool are they are somehow blessed beyond belief in European competition.

I wouldn't put it past them, given their history of being unparalleled scabby @#%&!s in this competition, to finish 7th in the premier league but somehow manage to win the champions league
